Since graduating from the University of Missouri in 1995, “Dr. Bill” has been practicing strictly companion animal medicine in the greater Des Moines Area. His wife, Mandy, is a professor and chair of Veterinary Pathology at the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine. Together they were recognized as “2017 Co-Veterinarians of the Year” by the IVMA and Dr. Bill was the recipient of the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Sweitzer Award later that fall. They have 2 children; Laurel and William, 2 dogs; Cornelia and Jazzy, 1 horse; Emmitt, 1 cat; Spock, and a handsome Red-lored Amazon who sometimes answers to the name Pumpkin. Outside of practice and family duties, Dr. Bill enjoys working in the yard and at the farm, fishing, golfing poorly and working with the IVMA/AVMA.
