Dr. Sheri Morrissey: 
"Dr. Sheri" has been a companion animal and exotic practitioner here at the Altoona Veterinary Hospital since graduating from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine the spring of 2000.  She is married to her husband, Blaine, who is a computer programmer for Computer Data Services in Des Moines.  Together, the Morrissey's have one daughter, Claire, who was born in September 2007.  Dr. Sheri has 3 furry and 3 feathered "children" as well.  Two greyhounds, Astro and Halley;  a whippet, Comet; and 3 cockatiels, Sidney, Tiki, and Herky round out a busy household.  Special interests outside the office include greyhound rescue, Polk County 4-H Dog Project volunteer, training her own dogs in obedience and helping with DMOTC (Des Moines Obedience Club) functions, and landscaping.












 

Dr. Bill Williams:
Since graduating from the University of Missouri in 1995, "Dr. Bill" has been practicing strictly companion animal medicine in the greater Des Moines Area.  His wife, Mandy, is a Veterinary Pathologist and instructor at the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine.  They live in Ames with their 2 children, Laurel and William, 1 dog, Georgia, 1 cat, Poly, and a handsome Red-lored Amazon who sometimes answers to the name Pumpkin.  When he finds time outside of practice and family, Dr. Bill enjoys landscaping for exercise, gardening for stress relief, fishing, golfing poorly, and committee work with the IVMA.
